As I sit typing, I’m wearing my new glasses. It was certainly overdue as I haven’t had a pair for over two years. So having been out of the glasses scene, what did I end up getting?

Thick rimmed, very dark grey Oakley’s. I’ve never had a pair of thick rims, but it felt right. Like I said before, I think I’m turning Hipster. Well actually, I think Hipsters are turning out to be more like me.

For example, Hair! My face has facial hair nearly 95% of the time. Now I never really made it a fashion choice, it was mainly due to my sensitive skin and disregard for maintenance. Lately, I’ve been better at at least keeping it trimmed, but I still have it. I don’t anticipate ever not having some form of facial hair really. Then that hair on top. It has always been unkempt… until recently, although on the weekends… yeah.

Vintage, don’t get me started. My favorite T-shirts in HS were vintagy even for the early aughts. I’m a Pepper, Captain America, Datsun, A&W, the list goes on. Those were my pride and joys. I once got into a Trucker Hat phase that lasted a few years. I can remember having 20 trucker hats that I could get a various places for as little as a quarter.

First to get new music. Check. I got Tenacious D’s self titled debut before it took off. It actually kinda happened by accident, but I really did have it before Tribute hit the airways. Yeah, it was a last minute throw on to a BMG 9CDs for the Price of 1! deal… That wasn’t it either. Weezer, STP, Audioslave, you name it.

Yeah, there are a lot of Hipster qualities that I fail on and will never pick up, but I think it’s a good thing that a few of my past styles have kinda caught on mainstream. :)
