Never let reality get in the way of a perfectly good theory.
I would really like Mad’s Theatre to work. I like to believe that people would tend to gravitate towards easier to use “things” all other things being equal. So why my last strategy ended far short from expectations?
I had reached out to the Theatre Companies, Directors, Venues, and others that create those theatre opportunities and I had some (few) positive responses to Mad’s Theatre. I had expected the “if you build it, they will come” outcome. If I got the movers and the shakers involved to consistently use and contribute, then the people will come.
That contribution didn’t happen.
Now? I’m going to go retrieve as much information online as I can as routinely as I can to bolster up that content. Give the people something to look at instead of relying on others to provide the content.
This will require a lot more attention than the original plan, but we will see how it turns out. If I see no return after several weeks of updated content… well I will then reassess my little side project.
We shall see.
